I was really happy with the blocks I managed to complete over my Christmas/New Year holidays.
I have joined in with Jacquelynne Steves to make her "Sew Sweet Simplicity" free BOM.. The BOM started at the end of October, all I had managed to do was to embroider blocks 1 and 2 before the holidays and had managed to cut out the fabric for block one. I am really enjoying making these blocks. As you can see I decided to make my blocks "red work" and am really happy with end result.
I also made 2 hash tag blocks - this amazing guy is putting together a quilt for each of the families of the victims in the Sydney Martin Place tragedy before Christmas. They were quite fun to make, although a little fiddly. He has now received 1,869 out of the 2,016 he is needing to make the quilts.
And finally the last block I made is for Aussie Heroes, a Poppy Block to be made in an ANZAC Commemorative Quilt, so looking forward to seeing the end result of this quilt... There are lots of participants in this quilt, we were all sent the green fabric to use and then we used our own red and black to assemble the block...
Cheers
Kaylee
