MORE DRESSES

I have had a very productive four days and managed to do some sewing, I made 8 dresses for Dress a Girl, Australia and very happy with that.

There are 3 dresses like this one with different buttons on each pocket.

There are 5 dresses like this one and they are a little bigger than the other 3. Oh and yes, it is home
made binding.

SUNDAY SEWING

I made these two sweet little dresses on Sunday, the smaller one is for my friends Grand Daughter who is turning two later in the year. The other is for my daughter's God Daughter who turned two in March. They don't know each other, one lives in Brisbane and one lives in Clermont (CQ) so they won't run into each other at the local shopping centre "wearing the same dress". Kate is going to Clermont on Wednesday night for 4 days so she will be giving this to Kenzie, I am hoping it fits, if not I said to Kate to tell her Mother that Kenzie can wear it over jeans, leggings or shorts and I can maker her another.

AUSSIE HERO QUILTS APRIL BOM

Each month Aussie Hero Quilts and Laundry Bags post a BOM, the April BOM is a star block, ta da, this is the first time I have made a star block so I made two, they were fun and easy to make. I have sent them off to Aussie Hero Quilts.  I can see myself making many more of these star blocks.

I have also been busy making some bias binding to use on little girls dresses.

BACK AT IT AND SOME SEWING

I cut out LOTS of 6-1/2" squares, enough for two quilt tops.

Then I sewed them into 6 of these.

Then I made this quilt top, I just need to put a boarder on it and I will be sending it off to
Aussie Hero Quilts (and Laundry Bags).

My first quilt top for Aussie Hero Quilts, if you have some spare time and some material scraps Aussie Hero Quilts are looking for new members to help make quilts and laundry bags for our guys and gals serving overseas.  They will accept any scrappy quilt top or whole quilt you can make.

POST KNEE OP

I hope everyone had a great Easter break, mine was a quiet and relaxing one as I had my knee op just before Easter. I won't post any gory photos, I am going really well and it was successful . I am very happy and was lucky not to have suffered much pain. I would definitely go to the same Orthopaedic surgeon again if I need something else done and would recommend him to anyone who needed work done. Cheers Kaylee
