I have decided to hold a give away on my BLOG, this is my first give away since I have been blogging and the reason is "just because". Plus we are getting close to Christmas and giving is fun. So I am giving away a Country Threads magazine which is brand new (not the newest out) and "A Quilters Diary 2013".  I will also be including something hand made by me which will be a surprise when you receive the parcel.

You will receive one entry for each of the following:

1.     Leaving a comment will earn you one entry
2.     Please BLOG about the give away and this will earn you a second entry
3.     If you are a follower of my BLOG or if you become a follower this will earn you a third entry

The give away is for Australian residents. Entries will close on Sunday 9th December and I will draw the winner on Monday 10th December which is my Mum's Birthday.

Happy Monday everyone.

This Sunday 25th November my husband and I will be celebrating our 34th Wedding anniversary. WOW pinch me, I cannot believe it.  We seemed to have had the odds against us right from the start, you see we had only been dating for 6 months when we were married, my Mother was so against it she wasn't coming to the Wedding so I phoned her the day before and said please come to my Wedding, she did come and wore a black short dress, 34 years ago you never wore black to a Wedding and you always wore a full length dress. Many years later I was told that my family sat around on the Sunday after our Wedding having bets on how long our Marriage would last, ummm well I am going to bet now that not one of them would have bet we would still be married now.  There was a beer strike on in QUEENSLAND at that time so we had to purchase bottled beer which came from south of the border at a great expense.  We decided to honeymoon in Sydney and Canberra, so we set off not knowing that when we reached Sydney there was a fuel strike on.  We spent a lot of our time driving around Sydney trying to find fuel stations that had fuel. So here we are 34 years later and still married, we have two beautiful daughters Kate 24 and Rebecca 20. Would you believe Stephen is the favourite Son in law. Here are a couple of our Wedding photos, they aren't real good as I took photos with my digitial camera of the original paper photos.

Horray, two more Christmas pressies finished, fill her skirt with candy canes and hang her near the front door for your visitors to help themselves on their way out...  She is supposed to be an angel and in the pattern she has large wings but I think she looks lovely just like this.

Just look at her cute little face :-)

AND Santa in a sack......

I was on annual leave last week and I was most pleased with the projects I finished, firstly this set.

Knitted Cardy

Crocheted cap, I couldn't find a knitted pattern, this was done so quickly, I love crochet.

Little knitted mittens

I made four burp cloths and have also cut out another four to sew up, they make up so quickly.

I used towels for the backing and I managed to cut 4 from each towel.

I also made this quick self binding baby blanket, I found a few "you tube" tutorials for these self binding blankets.

Pop on over to The House on the Side of the Hill and see who else is sharing a treasure.

Recently I made these 6 baby bibs and I have several more cut out waiting to be sewn. I am on annual leave next week and have quite a few things cut out waiting for me to sew up. I used polar fleece for the backing of the bibs and they feel so soft and cuddly. The "vegemite" one is for my dear little Marina's (living in Japan) baby due on 5 December.

Another "0" Birthday in our family for 2018, My Mum turned 80 on Monday 10th December, 2018. We celebrated with a Birthday lunch ...
