LOTS OF RAIN

I am glad to see the sunshine after all the rain last week. I was on annual leave last week and so glad we weren't driving to work in all that rain. In three days I emptied 440mls of water from the rain gauge, we received more than that as one of the nighs the rain gauge was over flowing so don't know how much more. We are very luck though and no flooding at our house however the back yard started to fill up and overflow into the patio area. Here are a few photos.

These photos are areas around where we live.

How did you fare with all the rain...

TUESDAY TREASURE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to everyone, we're half way through the first month of 2012 and this is my first BLOG post.

My first Tuesday Treasure for this year is a lovely stitchery I did several years ago whilst commuting to work by train. This is the first time I stitched Bullion Stitch Roses, I really enjoyed making them even though it certainly was a challenge. I stitched this on cream Dupion Silk.

I wonder who else is posting a Tuesday Treasure, take a look over at Melody's.

It is very wet and cool in Brisbane CBD today, I'd much rather be at home curled up on the couch with a good book or in my craft room creating something.

Cheers
