Today we were allowed to open our Christmas in July swap pressies, the swap was organised by Cheryll at Gone Stitchin' .  It was so exciting to open Christmas pressies today, these are the three hand made items I received from Sandra at masonmumblings all the way from New Zealand, how lucky am I, a lovely small mat/wall hanging, a candle and two Christmas tree ornaments.

This is a photo of everything Sandra sent in the parcel.

Sandra also sent me some lovely extra goodies which are 2 pieces of fabric, one piece has blocks of star signs and one piece looks like crochet squares, I love them both, Sandra also included some hand made in New Zealand buttons and a packet of pineapple lumps, I am very lucky.

Did you participate in the Christmas in July swap ? I am looking forward to visiting other blogs to see what lovely surprises have turned up around the place.

HAPPY FRIDAY everyone.

Lincraft currently have 50% off their fabric and fortunately there is a Lincraft in the Myer Centre in Brisbane CBD so I went for a browse a lunch time, I wanted to stock up on a few colours of homespun, can you believe that their Deluxe homespun is now $7.99/mtr, I didn't mind too much paying the $3.99/mtr.

I browsed through the other craft fabrics as well and found this lovely fabric with "sew it" and "quilt it" words, it's so cute and definitely had to come with me as well.

I am making a few more laundry bags and needed some fabric so I went and checked out the furnishing fabrics, these pieces are 150cm wide and were marked down to $9.99/mtr and then 50% off so I was very happy with this selection.

I have participated in a "Christmas in July" swap organised by Cheryll at Gone Stitchin'.  I have received my swap pressies  and they have come all the way from New Zealand.
I am so excited and looking forward to opening these on 25th July.

I will be posting these off to my swap partner tomorrow.  We had to make 3 hand made gifts, I made my partner a material bon bon and filled it with chocolates.

A mug rug, this is my first attempt at making a mug rug.

A tea towel topper.

I added some extras, tea bags and a 1/2 metre of fabric.

This is everything together, I will be wrapping them tonight in lovely Christmas wrapping paper
and posting them off tomorrow.

Happy Monday everyone, Cheers
