ACCUQUILT GO

I am now the proud owner of an Accuquit GO, I am so excited to have made this purchase. I have wanted one for a couple of years but really couldn't justify spending the money so started saving gift money from the last couple of years and so finally I ordered my GO and it arrived just before Mother's Day.  I also purchased several dies. As well as the photos of the dies below I also purchased a couple of strip cutters. I am so happy and excited with my new craft purchase and now to find somewhere to store it.....

ANOTHER QUILT TOP FINISHED

Remember these blocks..........

I made them into a quilt top on the weekend. This is it all put together, I am very happy with the completed quilt top. Now just to find a suitable backing fabric and quilt it, then I will be sending it to a wonderful Aussie Hero (female) serving overseas.

A NEW QUILT

I am making a disappearing 9 patch single bed quilt top and last week during my lunch breaks I cut out 63 squares to make 7, 9 patches for a quilt top.
Here are the 9 patches which I sewed up on Saturday. I have some Aussie fabric in the patches as the quilt is for an Aussie Hero.

I cut the 9 patches into quarters yesterday afternoon ready to make into the quilt.  I am really having fun making these disappearing 9 patch quilt tops, it is interesting to see them coming together.

I also made metres and metres and metres of  bias binding.

FOG IN THE CITY

 This is the sight that greeted us driving up Elizabeth Street yesterday morning, the building at the end of the photo covered in fog is the building I work in.

 This is coming across the Captain Cook Bridge looking over towards QUT, Botanical Gardens Campus.
