ADVENT GIFTS 20-24

These are my advent gifts days 20-24, a doll pattern, a piggy tape measure (so cuuute), some spotty ribbon and thread, a Christmas oven glove, sewing gadget chair pattern and material to make it up, and a craft bag (I think) it has pockets inside.

Advent gifts received for days 7-10 from Bell, a pocket photo album, thread snips, a bag holder and a mini address book.

How cool is this mini address book ? I've never seen them before, it folds flat and stick together as a magnet , very compact and great for the handbag, thankyou Bell.

WOW how gorgeous are these fabrics - "Quite Contrary" fat quarter bundle.

Another bundle of fat quarters also arrived today, I have LOTS of fabric now, don't know yet where I'll put the fabrics I've received this week as my cupboards are bursting.

CHRISTMAS TREE

It's beginning to feel a LOT like Christmas................... finally I had some time to put up our Christmas tree last night and also put out about 1/2 of my Christmas items I place around the house, I was sooo tired by 10pm, I think I'll leave the other 1/2 till Saturday............ This is my decorated Christmas tree....

NEW FABRICS

I purchased quite a bit of fabric a couple of weeks back from the "Fat Quarter Shop" from their clearance sale and as the A$ is so strong there

was very little difference with the conversion rate.

Two parcels arrived this morning, two more to come, they were

all sent at the same time, it amazes me they don't arrive all at the same

time ...... I love receiving packages in the mail.

2010 ADVENT SWAP PARCEL ARRIVED

This is the envelope that greeted me this morning when I went to the Post Boxes to collect the mail. I really enjoyed the Advent Swap last year and was so excited when I received an e-mail from Fee to say she was organising one again this year, it's so exciting opening a little

parcel every morning in December.

I put them in this photo copy paper box at work.

My friend at work decided they needed to be number so she kindly put Christmas tags on them for me and this is what they look like now.

2010 ADVENT SWAP

Saturday I wrapped 25 pressies for my partner Bell in Tasmania,in Fee and Jo's Advent Swap. Yesterday I posted them off to her, to arrive in time for her to unwrap one gift per day from December 1st till Christmas Day.

BEANIES FOR THE TROOPS

I came across an article in "Creating Country Threads" a few months back about craft groups making beanies for our troops serving overseas. I don't belong to a craft group so I decided to make some and include in care packages for Christmas, I have made six these are what they look like. These are crocheted and are so quick and easy to make.They are all a little

different so each person recognise their own.

PAPER PIECED SANTAS

I made these on the weekend, except for the noses - I had everything in my stash, they may be small BUT very time consuming, you will find the pattern over here. I will head up to Lincraft later this week to buy some tiny red pom poms for the noses. I am considering making more and including them in Christmas cards I send out this year.
